The purpose of a Naming Ceremony is not only to name a little baby, but to officially welcome this new baby into the family and into the world. Family and friends will make promises to the baby and vows will be made. Bubbles will be blown, speeches will be made, and music will play. Gifts will be given and good wishes will be symbolised by creative gestures. But there will also be commitments made to ensure ongoing care and responsibility towards this little person.
A baby naming does not replace Baptism or a Christening. It is an opportunity for a family to come together to recognise family strength and commitment and demonstrate love, togetherness and support.
My job is to work with the family to create a ceremony of meaning, love , joy and happiness. I can assure you the day will be remembered and treasured for years to come.
